GCU Academy was orgionally set us as a football academy for the street kids of Heideveld by Mario van Nikerk in 2001. Today, GCU has expanded into the wider range if community activities including programs in Education, Life Skills and Sport. GCU provides these children with the positive role models that so many lack at home and offers a way out of being trapped in the cycle of gangs and drugs.. ”
