Come and enjoy Chef Dave's delicious delights! Our newly renovated cafe and bar has the most awesome views of Table Mountain.
Try out our breakfasts and have your pick of freshly baked pastries, aromatic coffee, herbal teas, French toast, fresh fruit salad or a full breakfast with all the trimmings.
Lunch and dinner includes choices such as home-made burgers, fresh pasta and salads, pizzas, desserts and daily Chef's specials. Our food is fresh and seasonal, using some of the vegetables grown in our community project.
You can play backgammon or chess on our custom-built mosaic tables or just hang out next to the fire, chatting to fellow travellers.
At night the cafe transforms itself into a bar and that's when the fun starts. Our fully licensed bar is perfect for those party nights. The huge collection of African music gives the bar a funky African vibe.
You'll meet fellow backpackers and have random chats with strangers. It's all good!

We have webcams, headphones for skype and CD burning facilities. For the technophobes, there is always someone to show you how to do it!
No more hassles of waiting for the reception to find your moneybelt! All our private rooms and luxury 4-bed dorms have safes in the room at no additional cost!
If you are in staying in an 8-bed dormitory, you may hire a safe with your own code (no keys) and have access to your belongings whenever you wish, for a once off payment of R50.00, no matter how long you stay, choose between normal and laptop safes. If you are planning to go away for a few days, you may store your luggage for R10.00 per day.
Do it yourself in a coin-operated machine or really take a holiday and let one of our staff do it for you for a small extra charge, if you would like to spend more time out and about.
