The Backpack Community Tour

80% of the tour price is going directly to Nizaam’s startup business and Mario’s Community Project.

We have been selling “township” tours for 15 years. Many of the tours only benefit the owner with no financial benefit to the communities at all. We consider Nizaam to be the best guide in our industry and are assisting him to start up his own business.

Mario and Michelle have been supporting the Heideveld community with little assistance for the past 8 years.

The Backpack & Africa Travel Centre has donated approximately R100 000 to Mario’s Community Project and the Rope Skipping Project in 2009 and has found many donors for team tracksuits, competitions and end of year medal ceremonies and Christmas parties.  By joining this tour you will me making a difference.
