The Backpack Community Tour

From R610 full day

80% of the tour price is going directly to Nizaam’s startup business and Mario’s Community Project.

We have been selling “township” tours for 16 years.  Many of the tours only benefit the owner, with no financial benefit to the communities at all.  We consider Nizaam to be the best guide in our industry and assisted him to start up his own business.

Mario and Michelle have been supporting the Heideveld community with little assistance for the past 10 years.  The Backpack has donated approximately R350 000 to Mario’s Community Project and the Rope Skipping Project since 2009 and has found many donors for team tracksuits, competitions and end of year medal ceremonies and Christmas parties.  By joining this tour you will be making a difference.
